Pros

Good benefits, 401k, some nice people

Cons

Do NOT join this company! Do not believe what they tell you during the interviews. A lot of lies. The managers spend most of their time engaging in power games. They don't care about work quality or your career growth at all. Turnover rate is super high and they don't care either. When a highly experiened employee gave his 2-week notice, his manager said "Fine. I will get an intern to replace you tomorrow!" Managers' pets and those who are in the "club" bully other people publicly. If you are a racial or ethnic minority member, chances are you will be discriminated against. People would even tell you, in front of others, that because you are a racial minority member, you deserve the discrimination. Going to HR? HR is a joke. They would sweep things under the rug and even twist things against you. It's a highly toxic environment and a sinking ship.

Pros

This company has a great legacy of pilot safety and has the kind of benefits you would expect from a large company. There were benefits in the form of unique opportunities, including learning how to fly aircraft and instruction related to air traffic controllers. Jeppesen is a Boeing-owned company, so there are also many opportunities to travel to different Boeing partners worldwide.

Cons

Given the nature of many jobs and the connection to flight safety at the company, it can be high-pressure at times. A need to work weekends may arise, especially where safety is concerned. It is a large company, so many jobs carry different levels of pressure, but in my experience, testing flight navigation solutions that are mission-critical to pilot operations will likely compel an employee to put in some extra time to ensure a sound solution that helps pilot and for that matter passenger safety for in flight operations. If you are willing to go the extra distance and occasionally, although it is rare, sacrifice some work-life balance, working with the development and testing of navigation solutions could be a good fit for you.
