Pros

Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside JTG, moving from an individual contributor role to now serving as a Program Manager. What stands out to me most about this journey is how much I’ve been able to learn, contribute, and evolve within a company that truly values its people. At JTG, I’ve had the chance to work on projects where accuracy and cultural nuance make all the difference. I’ve supported government and commercial clients with solutions that blend language, technology, and data analytics, always with the understanding that the stakes are high and success is non-negotiable. Along the way, I’ve managed teams, built strong client relationships, and delivered results under pressure all of which prepared me for this new chapter as Program Manager. Being promoted is not just about recognition, it’s about responsibility. My focus now is to guide teams with clarity, ensure client goals are met, and foster an environment where others can grow the way I have. JTG’s employee-owned model has taught me that when we all have a stake in success, we bring our best every day. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to keep shaping the future of our programs.

Cons

The pace at JTG can be intense, especially when working on high-stakes projects with tight deadlines. Early on, I sometimes felt stretched thin balancing quality with speed. Over time, though, I’ve learned to sharpen my prioritization, delegate effectively, and stay calm under pressure. That challenge ultimately pushed me into becoming a stronger leader.

Pros

Stability and fulfillment have defined my eight-plus years here. The management team's approach to flexibility stands out—they've accommodated my schedule needs, allowing me to maintain work-life balance without compromising performance. This trust has been instrumental in my longevity. Professionally, the opportunity to engage with meaningful, evolving projects has been consistently stimulating. I particularly value the cross-pollination of academic rigor with real-world application. Crucially, the nature of our work demands continuous new skills development—whether that means mastering new authoring tools, quickly adapting program management methodologies, or integrating new approaches for diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. This environment actively rewards intellectual curiosity and flexibility. What truly elevates the experience is the team dynamic: JTG is a multicultural group where diverse perspectives enrich every collaboration. My colleagues are friendly, supportive and kind, and our joined lunches and birthday parties are fun and memorable. The CEO is a strong leader with a clear vision and an approachable style. He's the kind of captain who navigates with a wink and a well-timed pun—his unique, high-energy sense of humor might land like a surprise plot twist at first, but give it a season or two, and you'll find yourself chuckling along, because beneath that energy beats the heart of a true gentleman. His commitment to our collective success shines through in how he champions the team, taking pride in our wins. On the practical side, JTG offers a comprehensive benefits package, but the the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is truly exceptional. It provides a true stake in our shared success, making long-term investment in the company financially rewarding.

Cons

Occasional project deadlines can create short bursts of intensity, though the flexibility in place mitigates this effectively.

Pros

I do not know where to start, but I have the best job with the best employer. After working for a large company for a long time, JTG is a breath of fresh air. Not just in terms of compensation and benefits, but also in the culture of caring for each and every employee at JTG. My health benefits at JTG is better than my benefits at my previous employer which is a public company. When my son was sick and I had to leave work to take care of him, the CEO called me at home in the evening to check on me and my family. The company is employee owned, and every employee has shares at JTG. Friendly environment that encourages growth. Supportive colleagues and managers. Great customers, some have been with JTG for over 20 years.

Cons

I miss the office in Vienna as it was closer to me than Reston, but there is enough flexibility within JTG to make up for the commute.
