Pros

The job itself was not bad.

Cons

The managers have no idea about management. The place was always filthy disgusting. When you have babies crowling on the floor, and sometimes eating other people's hair, that's a problem, at least for me, but not for management who wouldn't accept us staying 5 min extra to clean up. Even with no license, we were asked sometimes to take care of babies and kids, while also attending up to 20 kids by ourselves. Keep in mind, this is a playground, kids jump, run, and you are the sole responsible to make sure they stay safe... at the same time you are caring for a kid with no parent to assist you because they hired the super expensive nursery service (for which none of you have license of course).

Pros

Lots of time slots available. We have to follow a curriculum but there’s also freedom of activities to do with the kids.

Cons

Just like most ESL companies in Japan the payment is bad. The administrative team is a bit disorganized and overall they just don’t seems to care much about the part timers.
