Pros

A few outstanding engineers with a good mix of technical strengths, commitment to deliver at pace and looks at the bigger picture and delivers new programmes at ease. Many seasoned managers doing their best to move the business forward.

Cons

There is no hands-on understanding of senior management and above on what it takes to deliver under current situation with changing landscape of tools and methods in PD. This is reflected on the fact that some managers and teams are struggling, getting burnt out and eventually fail or loose their will to live. There is very little put in place to build competencies, foster and nurture a motivated team. Senior Management and above is reactive with poor focus on planning - resource management, engineering spend management, infrastructure management (desks, computers, car parks, functional rest rooms). There is also a disproportionate numbers of do-ers and chasers. Chasers only want an update to report to shine in the light with little understanding of how the job is done and offer no support.

Thanks for your feedback. We recognise the challenges management face across the business caused by our rapid growth. Infrastructure and resources are being addressed with investment of over £3 billion in its products and facilities in Fiscal 2015 /16. This is to ease pressure, maintain our growth and allow management to focus on driving the company forward, including within PD.

Pros

Great work life balance Supportive environment

Cons

If you fall in the less than 3 years experience bucket, your best shot is the new graduate positions which have terrible pay and full-time employment after 2-years is not guaranteed.
