Pros

There are no pros to working here, at all. Avoid this company at all costs — unless your only other option is applying for ICE.

Cons

Between the labor and OSHA violations, JHB is one massive red flag. I debated even writing this because I’m just relieved to be gone, but people deserve to be warned. DO NOT WORK HERE. They will use you up and spit you out. The pay is terrible (if you get paid at all). Every job posting is a bait-and-switch. I personally saw multiple people told they had to “work for free” for a month before they’d be paid — and some never were. Sales roles don’t get commission and are grossly underpaid. They rely on AI for almost everything, even when it produces content riddled with errors. Anyone who’s lasted over a year is either desperate or has learned to say yes to everything. And if you ask for a raise, fair pay, or even for wages already owed, they’ll find a way to get rid of you — even if it hurts production. The few employees who stay end up severely overworked, often doing extra hours off the clock just to meet unrealistic demands. Management replaces experienced staff with new hires willing to juggle 3–4 roles for half the pay. It’s tragic, because the company’s mission is actually ethical — building emergency response trailers and offering safety training. There’s genuine value in what they claim to do. But any quality in the final product comes solely from the hard work of the carpenters, welders, and electricians who care about their craft despite being grossly underpaid and underappreciated. The owner constantly interferes with their work, pretending he knows better, even though he has zero experience as a tradesman. It’s demoralizing to watch skilled workers be second-guessed by someone with no idea what he’s talking about. The owner fits the definition of a narcissist. He acts friendly to your face, then speaks poorly about clients, vendors, and even his own employees behind closed doors. He boasts about how successful the company is, but somehow never has the funds to pay people on time or offer raises. The gossip culture there is unmatched — it’s practically the only way anyone copes. Morale is terrible, turnover is constant, and almost everyone quietly counts the days until they can leave. Female employees, in particular, don’t last long. There’s an unmistakable bias that makes it clear who’s valued and who isn’t. And the only thing worse than the owner is his so-called “right hand.” He’s the one running the misleading job postings and handling interviews. Let’s just say empathy is not his strong suit. The roles they post are often misrepresented, and the pay structure isn’t transparent. I’ve reported the ads multiple times for false information. With the turnover rate as high as it is, the owner and his assistant probably won’t even know who posted this review — or any of the others that are bound to follow. It could have been someone who was just fired, or someone who left months ago. Maybe even someone still working there. Expect more reviews like this one to appear in the coming months, and likely for years to come. Bottom line: This company preys on people who are just trying to make a living. Don’t fall for it.
