Pros

experience, large employer, looks good on cv, complex tasks and case loads holiday allowance is good and improves with time-served (1 day per year) mat offer is above average but could be better vs competitors SMEs usually left alone (SLT will not be SME, you are needed so they are relevant)

Cons

tick-box ethos, lack of true wellbeing support (mostly for show), like to give more responsibilities without renumeration, prioritise "yes people" over skilled people - eg very senior people with no quals but "experience" - could be their family or own business, "legally we can..." - over ethical treatment. "youth first" but younger colleagues will be on lower salaries due to archaic time served bonuses and reward retaliation culture - very game of thrones (head office) - constructive feedback NOT appreciated.
