Pros

great employee discount, great manager, some benefits like 401k.

Cons

I think the stylists are waisting their time working here. Many of them have pensions and in their 50's thats why they don't leave, but I see their paychecks its not enough to pay a car and insurance. Luckily they have husbands. They should give them better commission or salary because of all the coupons that Jcpenney is constantly sending to all these haggling customers. Come on if a hair cut is 32 dollars and a 10 dollar coupon is presented then what on earth is the master stylist making? They were better off not paying for beauty school being house wives then giving their time at a salon that corporate by the way where the CEO's get richer by the bottom feeders they have working. These stylist can make a much better living in a mom and pop hair salon and put away their own retirement then working for Jcpenney. Also receptionist's have a big job and little pay they are almost like a supervisor in that establishment without the pay or title. Depending on experience they should be payed. Iv been working in salons for 14 years its what I know and breath and although I get paid better than most cashiers in the store can't make enough to eat sometimes.
