Pros

Many convenient store locations Fairly good orientation program Variety of departments to work in Co-workers seemed dedicated to their jobs

Cons

If you aren't working at a cash wrap ringing customers out, the day goes SLOWLY I mean how often can you fold clothes on a table before it drives you mad?? Unpredictable scheduling--I was told during interview that my shift would be a steady early morning one to put stock out on the salesfloor. However I was primarily working late nights until 9 or 10. When I brought this to management's attention they fluffed me off saying it would come "in time." I left after a month.

Pros

If you like working early morning hours and getting off early in the afternoon (which I do) this is a great part-time job. I was a college student when I worked here so it worked perfectly with my schedule. The pay is pretty decent and the people you work with are friendly.

Cons

Only real downside is that it's retail. You're going to run into some rude customers from time to time. There's always work to do and not enough time given to do it sometimes. But as long as you work hard and managers see that you're trying your best there isn't too much pressure put on you.
