Pros

The pros are that if you reach a certain supervisory level, your compensation and benefits are pretty solid. However, the pros are heavily outweighed by the lack of respect, the severe sexism, rampant microagressions, and overall lack of support one receives from executive leadership. Staff are nothing more to them than drivers of profit. They say they care about the well-being of staff, but will quickly step on the people they hire if that means the center can make money. This would be well and fine if the executive team admitted that this organization runs as a corporation rather than a non-profit. Oh, and forget about your vision, passion, or getting what you want for your programs, clients, or own professional development- they won't even give you want you need to be successful at the job they hired you to do!

Cons

I cannot beg you enough to please save yourself the trouble of working here. There is no concrete plan or vision for where the organization is headed in 2022. There is no long-term plan to support staff during the pandemic. Racism and sexism are very prevalent in the actions and choices made by those higher up. There is a severe lack of communication about priorities, but you better hope you don't get reprimanded if you don't know exactly what those priorities are. If you need a stepping stone and can stomach working alongside pure toxicity, by all means, but please do not plan on staying here long term!

Pros

Money was good, hours were great, short shifts, supportive team. Great place to work for those in school or looking to network

Cons

None immediately come to mind. Not much upward mobility, but this type of job is not designed for that
