      Good place to work - Automotive Researcher JATO Dynamics Employee Review

      Pros

      Great if you want to learn about automotive industry. If you focus and commit, you can learn a lot and use the knowledge to your advantage (in other positions in the industry). The teams are good, communication is well and everyone is friendly. A lot of SLQ and Excel trainings, LinkedIn learning license available for all employees.

      Cons

      It's very hard to advance. You need to commit to individual learning to advance. Trainings offered by HR team are good in the 1st year, after that they are useless. Good thing is that you have LinkedIn learning license, so you can learn on your own. Some of the upper managers are very bigheaded and selfish. They see people as numbers and do not care about feedback. HR team is very slow. They often don't have a solution for the problem or take ages to solve something. They are great at keeping you in long meetings where nothing is said though.

      Pros

      A family-owned business that was very successful at one point.

      Cons

      *Personnel: The same personnel retain their roles year-in and year-out which has led to poor decision-making, lack of new ideas and innovation and an overall stagnated work force. *Product: Since it's privately-owned, there are only minor investments made which pale in comparison to the competitors. In addition, new product and innovation suffer greatly. There hasn't been a new, revenue-generating product in years. *Compensation: every year commission and bonus changed especially with declining commercial performance (mostly tied to lack of investment in technology and product).  *Leadership: during my 4-6 years there, JATO went thru as many CEOs. The owner is very old school in thinking and creates an environment where it's difficult to challenge him and/or his cronies (also old school and not up-to-date on current business environment/realities).
