Pros

Besides management, the majority of people that work there are good people to work with.

Cons

The owner only cares about the bottom line and has no idea how to manage his employees. People in the industry think he is very sleazy. There is a high turnover rate. You are expected to work more than 40 hours per week.

Pros

The working environment at J2 is truly inclusive and supportive. From the very beginning, I’ve felt a strong sense of belonging. Despite coming from a different industry with no prior knowledge of building science, I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone—from colleagues across departments to the principals themselves—has been approachable, friendly, and generous with their time and knowledge. What stands out most is the culture of collaboration and mentorship. Team members are not only willing to share their expertise but also genuinely care about each other’s growth, both professionally and personally. The leadership team, although busy, consistently makes time to support others, demonstrating a deep commitment to collective success. J2’s core values—transparency, help, hope, and happiness—strongly align with my own. This alignment, combined with the company’s inclusive culture, makes me feel inspired and motivated every day. I truly appreciate being part of a team where I am continuously learning, growing, and contributing meaningfully.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of.

Pros

They are too numerous to list, and while the pay and benefits are great, it goes so far beyond that. Strong leadership, GREAT team camaraderie, authentic positive culture, and meaningful work are just a few of the real "pros". Opportunities to grow and learn are abundant to anyone with the drive and motivation. You're cared for and appreciated as a person here. You're surrounded by a team of people who are passionate about what they do and are experts in their field. There are no "bare minimum" players here, so you'll have the support of dedicated people who are eager to help and happy to be of service.

Cons

The pros lend themselves to the cons - this is a place full of really driven people who are up for the task of meeting high expectations, facing challenges, and growing. A strong work ethic is a must. If you're looking for something easy, this isn't it. If you're looking for something rewarding, it is.
