Pros
Students make the job worthwhile. Non-administrative colleagues are wonderful.
Cons
I have never worked anywhere that had so little faith in the professionals they hired. Every single thing you do is micromanaged by local campus leadership, and micromanaged on another level by Systems Office leadership in Indianapolis. This even includes how to write e-mails. Every week we have to participate in this ridiculous 4DX platform and report on what we did the previous week to help the campus retain its dwindling student population, and now how we construct those reports is also being micromanaged. Students are leaving largely due to the incompetent local administration (Coyne & Wolfger), and the asinine decisions made by the worst president in the school's history (Ellspermann). Her qualifications for the job is that she is a Republican politician in a Republican stronghold. Nearly everybody employed here is looking for a way out because administration treats everybody like toddlers. No respect, no efforts to improve campus morale - but administration's bad decisions are somehow the employees' fault. Complete ineptitude from the top down.
