Pros
Generally the pay and benefits can be decent here, I have definitely seen worse. There are a select few incredibly intelligent people that work here who are trying to provide a brighter future for the company. The travel can be fun and you are allowed to keep all status and points earned for airlines and hotels. Gent is a great place to stay and visit if you are able to travel to the home office in Belgium.
Cons
I really dislike sharing negatives about the company, but after the recent request for "Happy Employees" to leave reviews I had to share my thoughts. As has been stated in previous reviews there is a lot of potential for Itineris in North America. The utilities industry could really use a new player, and having one that is built on Microsoft is highly appealing. The unfortunate fact is there does not seem to be clear vision of where to take this product. The sales planning seems to be all over the place, no distinct market group, and the implementation is increasingly difficult with the multitude of requirements that are just not there yet. Management does not portray a consistent vision or strategy of where we are heading in the future. I don't see a clear one, three, or five year plan (not even 6 months). The current strategy seems to be win big deals and we can handle the consequences once we have won the deal. This leaves our project teams vulnerable to unforeseen requirements which inevitably cause halts within the implementation. The management group is completely split with the Belgian leaders having a big say in what happens in the North American market, isn't that what NA leadership is for?
