Pros
Isometric is easily the sharpest, most driven team I’ve worked with. There’s a combination of great experience, but everyone is also collaborative, humble, and genuinely supportive. The bar is high, but it never feels cutthroat—it feels like we’re all pulling in the same direction. I was surprised when I joined by how set up everything was. For a startup/scaleup, the clarity of thinking, systems, and foundations already in place were miles ahead of what I expected. We’re also quick to adapt—if we realise we’ve made a wrong call, it’s acknowledged fast and we pivot. That ability to learn and move forward without ego is rare and energising. In GTM, we’re building a strategy for a new industry, and the level of ownership and trust is real. There’s no playbook—we’re writing it—but with the right support. Well-run socials, thoughtful offsites, and a genuine sense of camaraderie.
Cons
Startup life can be demanding—there’s a lot to do, and the ownership you’re given also comes with a high level of responsibility. It’s not for someone who needs rigid structure or a narrow role. Things can move fast and we work in quick feedback and iteration cycles, which can be a challenge if you prefer predictability. Like any early-stage company, not everything is polished yet. Some processes are still being built.
