Pros
The best partners at IM are the best in the business. Many are also great teachers and really take an interest in developing associates. The culture really celebrates individual contributions and successes. If you impress early on, there is room to grow pretty quickly.
Cons
Then there is a lower tier of partners that are either terrible managers, mediocre at search, or both. The experience really depends on who you work with. Salaries are adequate but not competitive for the nonprofit search space; they are low by industry standard, especially given the locations in expensive cities.
