Pros

Staff are generally nice people who will try to help you, up to a point. Good client base. If you can write what they want, at the speed that they want, you'll do well.

Cons

Very little room for ideas that differ with CEO. Workload prioritises volume over innovation. Veracity considered secondary to selling. Ethically vexing.

Pros

Will teach you what poor management is, Ok entry level job, but leave quickly - you will be abused, and your values challenged. Made me realise that some that employers are worse for the spirit than unemployment. Felt relieved when I left.

Cons

Highly unethical. Quantity over quality - you will be worked relentlessly. Your ideas and opinions don't count. Toe the party line or be vilified by management among your colleagues. CEO has huge ego, claims anyone else's ideas are weak, and will try to convince you that employee benefits are not in your best interests. Output is vapid and not evidence-based, and was unrewarding. We did not do the best for our clients, and at times I was concerned about liability. Worst employer in my career, on any metric. Avoid.

Pros

Great client list. Could be a good interim job because they're always looking for people, but beware the risks and do not treat it as a long-term option.

Cons

Appalling management. Constant sense of urgency and demand to hustle, with little value placed on actually understanding clients/products. Client needs may be disregarded in favour of CEO demands. Time gets wasted on generating half-baked ideas. Staff turnover is extremely high. Many people get pushed out and basically disappear with no chance for handover. CEO is performative and a liability; avoid having to engage with her if you can, and do not trust her.
