Pros

If you like drinking with your co-workers, gossiping, being overworked and significantly underpaid, this is the place for you. The vacation policy was nice, though.

Cons

Company culture is the most important thing at iris. You can do amazing work and have a great work ethic, but if you don't partake in the social activities of the office, your job security will suffer. You would also be put on the chopping block if you want to be an agent of change. Your career prospects are dependent on whether a) your direct supervisor likes you and b) whether said supervisor has somewhere to move up within the company. If they have nowhere to move up to, your career will hit a standstill. The titles, especially on the creative side, are completely outdated. People who would be senior anywhere else, are mid-level at best. There is this dividing line between conceptual creatives and designers that doesn't exist at any other agency. All the designers that I worked with were upset by this, because they felt like pixel pushers most of the time. There is absolutely no work-life balance there. Unless all your friends work there and are your roommates. That's the only way to truly have a social life. Pitches are run by a few select people, and they do not take ideas from anyone else. We pitched several potential clients ideas that just didn't work nor made sense because of the few stubborn people who led the pitches. Needless to say, we won exactly zero of any of the pitches made while I was working there. There was a case while I was working there of intellectual property infringement. None of the responsible parties was fired over it. Probably because the person overseeing the work was one of the sacred cows at iris.
