Invitae was a phenomenal place to work prior to 2022. felt like i was making a genuine difference in the world, and the people were some of the kindest and hardworking folks I knew. they managed to create a truly unique and deeply supportive culture that I still miss to this day.
Cons
leadership drove the ship into the ground. they blew their cash on poorly planned acquisitions with little value and growing the company incredibly recklessly. culture shifted drastically in 2022 when cost-cutting initiatives were pushed and teams felt pitted against each other despite good collab in the past, and the 1000+ person RIF in 2022 and subsequent ones only show how much leadership cares
