Pros
- Some of the hardest working staff I have ever met. - Socials can be fun
Cons
I'm not quite sure where to start with this review, but I think it's important that it is known how extremely toxic and demoralising this organisation is. During my time at InvestIN I made some great friends but that did not and could not prepare me for the brutality and toxicity of the place. When starting at a smaller business you expect teething problems, you expect you could be doing jobs outside of your job description, you expect that things might get a bit messy sometimes but what you don't and shouldn't expect is management to have zero leadership skills, zero empathy and zero idea how to run a fast growing company. My job role was the type of role that instantly gets cut when money is tight... and thats what happened. I wouldn't usually bear any ill will because of that though. What I do hold ill will about is the dishonesty and gaslighting. When I was hired (bear in my I have seven years in my profession) i was super excited to start in an industry where i felt I could make a difference and meet some interesting people, that excitement slowly changed into discomfort because I don't think anyone actually knew what to do with me. We ended one year on a high, I was complimented for the work I did and told that I was a great addition to the team and everyone was so happy to have me there. So imagine my surprise when the new year starts and I am gaslit for a whole week straight before telling me that I am no longer needed. Apparently the work i did was subpar, apparently there were consistent mistakes in all my work, apparently I didn't know how to do my job... if this was all such an issue why wasn't it mentioned in the 6 months previous? All in all... this is an awful company to work for that spent 2021 scaling up too fast, tricking people into paying extortionate amounts of money to walk around Oxford (as part of an 'experience'), gaslighting staff, giving people too much responsibility with no experience, paying everyone below market average and brutality axing staff instead of fixing issues when they arise. Do not work here.
