Pros

The product that Inventus brings to the market is solid. The company offers affordable health plans and a decent 401k match.

Cons

Inventus is understaffed and disorganized. Morale is low across all departments, employees feel overworked and under appreciated. Work/life balance is poor. Compensation is below average, due in part to a few bad years at the top line. A recent merger has not created a cohesive business, but rather two independent groups that sometimes stumble over one another while attempting to reach common goals. There is in-fighting at the executive level and the atmosphere reflects that dissension. There are bright spots of opportunity, but it seems unlikely that these will be realized. Unfortunately, Inventus is a fairly stressful and unpleasant place to work.

Pros

The only “pro” is that after experiencing management this poor, every future workplace will look amazing by comparison.

Cons

I concur with what previous reviewers have said; The management on the production floor is apocalyptic, and the extreme turnover rate speaks for itself. If you enjoy being hired for one job and then forbidden from doing it, you’ll love it here. I was brought on as a soldering operator and never touched a soldering iron. Instead, I became a full-time box-taper, wire-router, paper-sorter, and scrap-room gremlin — all without a minute of training. Management’s strategy seems to be: give no instructions, provide no support, and then blame you for everything. I honestly didn’t know it was possible for leadership to be this incompetent. The only skill I gained was a newfound appreciation for workplaces that aren’t run like a parody of management.
