Pros

Incredible technology and customers keep the job interesting and is a very fulfilling way to gain deep experience in a niched market and earn a great living. Great people you will learn so much from in the ranks and most lower level managers are kind and with good intentions. As long as you work for one of the nice ones, and don’t aspire to advance to higher leadership levels in your career, at least not at Intuitive, you will have incredibly valuable experience and great opportunities to jump to when you you finally burn out.

Cons

Senior leadership is stacked with cowards, liars, and cheats. They protect each other, steal work to promote themselves or other men, and push out anyone, especially women, who dare point out the discrimination, harassment, and hypocrisy that they so clearly enable. It’s sanctioned and coordinated by the highest levels including HR and legal. In fact, HR is used more as a threat of surveillance for control by bad leaders than it is as a resource or as an enforcer of law and company policy against leaders who rack up numerous complaints. There’s a VERY specific type allowed in the higher ranks. It’s textbook cronyism and no matter how many women leave or file complaints, they just circle the wagons even tighter around themselves and don’t even fake change. They are damaging to the company by forcing out the best talent and leadership potential just to protect themselves.

Pros

This is truly a company to make a career at given the difference you are able to make in people's lives. The newest system is incredible and the outlook for the company is strong.

Cons

The budget has become such a hot topic and employers feel compelled to give feedback justifying the budget constraints. It's hard to justify the level of frugality and rigidity experienced by employees while the company is flourishing. There is a work for the data, vs. work for the business value sentiment being experienced cross-functionally and it is causes issues with integrity. The analytics team (outside of sales ops) isn't talented enough to support the development of reports that allow the greater business to establish and achieve goals.
