Pros

The original team was amazing. After being acquired it's been all down-hill.

Cons

It's frankly staggering to have watched the incompetent management not see who the valuable contributors were over the past few years. It was equally mind-numbing how those who did nothing but hold back the team and sabotage projects with one horrendously ill-advised decision after another ... were revered and rewarded. The Frisco culture (headquarters) is all about throwing others under the bus, putting their fingerprints on everything and taking credit for the work of others. They have ZERO domain knowledge, yet refuse to listen to those who do. The amount of money wasted is shocking. And they never learn, repeating the same amateurish approach on each new project. Management is so fixated on bogus burn-down charts, while paying zero attention as to real-life progress or the health of the team. The team? They couldn't care less about the team. I could give countless examples. I worked in Burlington for almost ten years. I loved my team and we always did the right thing and decisions were easy because we respected each other. After the acquisition things went smoothly for a period, until they began driving out the original team, one by one. And after each person left ... you guessed it ... they were blamed and disrespected. Thrown under the bus. I had to fight to give me direct report an exceeds for the year because it meant more money. Yet they blew over a million on a project that could have been done for half the price and better. Top-down approach for everything. There's no grassroots contribution or innovation welcome at IntrinsiQ. I was never so happy to be able to walk away, but it was sad leaving my team behind in that Hell.

Pros

Great co-workers. Pay and benefits are good. Ability to work remotely if needed. Great facility. Downtown Springfield location is convenient.

Cons

If you want to work for a company that takes employees who have dedicated the better part of a decade of their life to the mission only to be let go for corporate cost cutting, then this is the place for you. Executive management oblivious. Local, upper management suffers serious "Big Fish - Little Pond" syndrome and treat the employees who are actually cognizant of the customer base like outcasts. Large projects that drastically affect the client base in a negative manner are put in place without engaging the employees who actually know how and even if the project would be feasible to begin with. Then, said employees are blamed for the massive failure while the management team who initiated it with no input from the employees are rewarded for trying. I will hand it to local management for towing the corporate BS line about "These moves in personnel changes are a good thing that will benefit us all and allow for a more positive outcomes for our clients...." blah, blah, blah. They have "all-hands" meetings when a new round of firings occur and do a great job at pumping the negative balloon created full of hot-air in an tempt to make everything all warm and fuzzy. Extremely disingenuous and insulting to the hardworking folks who are working to ensure management continues to draw a paycheck. New employees fall for it, but the veterans know.....it's only a matter of time before they are next.
