As an inside sales you are treated like a second class citizen compared to the outside sales team who are treated with better pay, respect and lower expectations..with a lot less work. You spend all your time managing them, booking them meetings and doing all there reports. They take notes at meeting with customers you sell and they take notes during the meeting. For this they receive better compensation, commission and treatment. Even though my outside sales were less qualified with less experienced and constantly failed to proform up to standards.
