Pros

I recently started my employment with Intilery, since then I have been fully immersed into the company culture and my new role. The team are fantastic, everyone is integral to both their personal success and progression, and the success of the company. It's amazing to actually work with other like-minded people, that want to work hard in a job that they love. You have an autonomous workload that allows you to take control of your what direction you want to advance within the company, while at the same time the support and advice from other colleagues is there. The technology that Intilery are working on is exciting and is continuously developing which makes everyday at work enjoyable. The work-life balance couldn't be better and the management are extremely inclusive and approachable.

Cons

This is a fast-paced environment and everyone has a role to play, so you have to be a team player and be able to get along with all different types people, as there is lots of cross-over between all department of the company.

Pros

- Autonomy - There's no micromanaging, they're happy for me to just get on with my work, and as long as it gets done everyone's happy! - Flexibility - I can choose my own working hours (within reason), and if I've got personal issues or appointments that I need to work around they're happy for me to work from home every now and then, which makes life a lot easier. - The people - Intilery make a point of looking at cultural fit when they hire, which means there's a great group of people here. There's no backbiting or bitchiness, everyone's friendly and you feel included really quickly. Plus people are always bringing food in to share, which is a bonus.

Cons

- Internal communication - sometimes you end up scrambling to find a quiet place for a call, or rearranging meetings because something's happening that you weren't aware of, or a last minute meeting got booked and someone else needs the meeting rooms. There's a lot going on all the time, so it can be difficult to keep track of what everyone is doing, particularly if they don't tell you. Client teams always get given priority, so if you're having an internal meeting or need the space for non-client related work you're always the one who has to rearrange (which is only really an issue if you do a lot of work away from clients, like me).

Pros

The core staff are great to work with and very friendly. The working hours are flexible and you have the option to work from home one day a week which is a plus. Free coffee and drinks etc. are good but pretty much a standard nowadays.

Cons

This is not a place to work if you value a stable, fulfilling career. The company seriously lacks leadership, and management (regular performance reviews, training, guidance, support, progression) is almost nonexistent. Unfortunately the CEO treats the company as a part-time hobby and regularly makes significant business decisions out of the blue with little business case, resulting in continued disarray of the teams within the business and ultimately creates the lack of cohesion or direction that the business has. Recent redundancies and staff departures, without recruiting replacements, leave an already small business short on staff amongst ever declining morale. The ‘exec’ team have an unfortunate proclivity to mislead, and in many cases simply lie to both employees and clients on the state of the business, the product and the finances, which will ultimately lead to further departures of both staff and clients as the company scales down.
