Pros

Steady work, not really many layoffs, they try to take care of their employees (free shirts, paid apprenticeship programs, bonuses), safety is number one at interstates. Good work / life balance A big company that is growing even larger

Cons

No longer want you to be an electrician, you pretty much just become a conduit runner and wire puller no matter what level you’re at. If you want to be challenged and learn to grow, instrumentation might be a better job to apply for at interstates. Mainly for the fact that you get to troubleshoot issues and learn to work through problems. Pay scale appears to be lower compared to other industrial companies in area. Lacks communication as far as where and when next job will be.

Pros

Flexibility Awesome People Culture Development Job Security Work Life Balance

Cons

Don't have many at this time other than sitting at a desk all day can be tough. However we have a extremely nice office space so there are tons of opportunities to switch up the scenery and its nice to be able to go on walks around the building to take a break!

Pros

Strong family culture and people genuinely care about each other and enjoy working together, even in a high stress environment Leadership is very accessible and down to earth; no “elite” feel, and leaders regularly engage with employees at all levels Opportunities for internal growth and career progression is real for those who perform and take ownership High level of trust and autonomy in roles, especially in leadership positions Flexible work environment when possible; leadership understands real life needs while still supporting field teams

Cons

Company wide standards and pace of change can feel overwhelming, especially when balancing regional needs and multiple sources of information
