Pros
Whoever wrote the review before this one was not being entirely fair. ITI does some really good work for its customers in the areas of process improvement, project management, reliability and software development. The company fosters an entrepreneurial environment (for real, not just giving it lip service) and delivers real value to its customers on a variety of interesting projects. ITI can be a place where you can work on some really interesting projects and have free reign to run a business as a consultant without a lot of management interference. I certainly grew a lot as a manager and an individual at ITI and I'd say that the upsides to working there certainly outweighed the (often significant) downsides.
Cons
The salaries and benefits at ITI are generally below average, although they do like to offer generous incentive compensation, which can benefit you if your group does well. The entrepreneurial environment unfortunately creates a "what have you done for me lately" environment where under performing managers or individuals are treated very poorly. It's not uncommon to see someone's base salary cut if their unit under performs (regardless of history or the big picture.) Since Dr. Lemon passed away, the company has been looking for an identity and has tried many different strategies; there is a severe lack of focus at times. ITI is also a family owned business, and the interests of the family naturally come before all other considerations.
