Pros
Suitable for technical roles, which appear to be relatively stable and structured. However, not recommended for Business Development Executive (BDE) or sales roles due to the high-pressure environment and unrealistic expectations.
Cons
My experience at Intellipaat, especially in the Business Development Executive (BDE) role, was not a good one. The company holds the first month’s salary as part of their bond/protocol, with a promise to release it by the second half of the fourth month. However, in many cases, interns are let go before reaching that point. The biggest challenge is the extremely high sales targets. Interns are expected to generate around ₹2.5–3 lakhs per month, which is quite unrealistic for freshers. Because of this pressure, many struggle to meet expectations and end up getting terminated. The work culture is also very demanding — 6 working days a week, long hours (especially during month-end, often from 10 AM to 10 PM), and very little work-life balance. There is constant pressure to put in extra hours, even at the beginning of the month. There also seems to be a cycle of mass hiring followed by mass termination, which makes the role feel unstable. That said, technical roles appear to be more stable and better managed compared to the BDE role.
