Pros

Most staff members are very lovely but unfortunately ownership cancels this out.

Cons

Where do I start? Management of this company is a micro-managing nightmare. You have to record every small detail of work you’ve completed and exactly how long it took (as far as recording the exact number of emails you sent or how many contacts you found) This is then ripped apart and I was constantly questioned about how long tasks took me, and even accused of lying several times about what work I had completed. No matter how hard you try or how much you work, it won’t be enough. It’s not healthy to feel ill with anxiety at the thought of going to work or at the sight of a team’s notification, but that’s exactly what happens to junior employees. I have never doubted my self worth more than I did in this position. I can’t stress this enough….listen to the reviews! There is a pattern of mistreatment and it needs to be addressed. Spare yourself the turmoil and stay far away from this place.

Pros

The right company for you if you want the opportunity to be part of a productive, friendly and busy small team, and not just another employee where the boss doesnt know your name. The right company for you if you want the perks of hybrid working (remote working is a privilage not a right) BUT not the right company for you if you are sensitive to check ins (which the person paying you has every right to do). If you cannot understand the reason for this you either arent doing the work or you are not made for a role in a small business. The right company for you if you understand that working in a small team means that whatever work you are doing is key to the outcome and can impact everyone if the work you are given isnt done. This gives you a great sense of achievement, whatever the task, and allows you to learn so many different skills. The right company for you if you want the opportunity to contribute to processes and sytems, working for a small team means management do not have a closed door policy,

Cons

Not the right company for you if you want to coast and be complacent BUT its the right company if you are ready to work hard and learn and get stuck in. Not the right company for you if you are negative or defeatist BUT its the right company if you are able to communicate well, don't understand something, want to learn how to do something, or want to take on a new challenge, then communication is key. Not the right company for you if you are not able to communicate openly and honestly, this breeds negatively. When working in a small business this kind of attitiude is toxic and effects everyone BUT it is the right company if you want to be part of the bigger discussions about business direction.

Pros

- Some of the staff were lovely - although anyone who values their mental health had the good sense to leave. - Shared office space was super nice, often with free breakfasts. - Great location and hybrid working allowed. - Occasional socials.

Cons

- Unparalleled levels of anxiety, can genuinely say I've never felt so worthless and stressed in a job – particularly one that was below my experience level. - Interview tasks took about 5 years off my life, crazy amount of work for a junior role (and the salary!) - this should've been enough to send me running. - Micro-manager central! I genuinely felt sick turning up to work each day as I constantly felt I was doing something wrong. Often being asked to hop on calls at random points of the day to give updates, questioned whenever my Teams icon went yellow or if I took too long going to the bathroom (often to cry!) ... I could honestly go on and on and on about this. - Onboarding process was truly terrible – I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing and was made to feel like an idiot for asking questions on things that were just never explained. - Workload was next level – and there was no margin for error! This was an assistant/junior level role but the output expected was that of a midweight/senior. I was made to feel useless for not being able to keep up, constantly being patronised saying that "it's not that hard" and i'm "too soft" - BIG boomer energy, the word "snowflake" was thrown around far too liberally. If you want to question your worth and career path, this is the place for you! It takes a very specific (dare I say masochistic?) person to work here. A shame as the work has the potential to be really interesting.
