Pros

The amazing team and its strong camaraderie, of which is the unfortunate result of routinely sharing exceptionally negative experiences.

Cons

Management is in denial (or even worse, unaware) of the fact that they lack the capacity to provide an environment that promotes a healthy work place. Given the consistency of turnover, it's clear that nurturing and retaining top talent is NOT a priority; you're second guessed, subjected to a brutal management style and worked into the ground until you become a shellshocked version of the person you were when you started. Far from the notion of ID being a place where the tough, self-driven sort are given latitude to blaze their own trail lies the truth. Management gives an offensive amount of direction, which completely negates efficiency and productivity (down to what words to use in an email and what words to say on conference calls) to the point where you lose a sense of ownership of your client relationships (that is until something goes awry). There is an unspoken expectation (and absolute necessity) of working twelve hour days during the week, and up to four hour days on the weekend just to keep pace with your workload, let alone thrive. Be sure to take a look on LinkedIn at the people who've held the position your applying for and see how long they lasted; you'll notice a distinct pattern.

I'm so sorry you felt this way! What a bummer. I'm sorry it didn't work out, and I really wish you nothing but the best. Over the course of 2016 we particularly focused on some of the aspects you touched on above (specifically in the areas of support, enablement, ownership and trust). If you're interested, reach out to me (or anyone else who works at ID). Ask them what it's like around here. I think you'll hear some refreshingly different things than what you describe above. We really are committed to making ID an awesome place not only to work, but to grow and advance as a marketer, as a professional, and even (gasp!) as a person.
