Pros

Keg refrigerator, which I do not consider a pro but some people may.

Cons

Where do I even start? The technology is outdated; the dev team refuses to keep up with/fix bugs (they're added to one of three lists that no one ever looks at); everyone is passive-aggressive and hostile to change; the system is straight-up broken and doesn't work, but the technical support people are blamed for not being able to identify the problems. When I was there, there was no QA. Let me repeat: this technology company did not have quality assurance until the week I left in late February 2021, after 8 years in operation. I was told on many occasions that the company "didn't want to focus on old things" and "needed to break things and move fast to get new improvements added" to a system that did not function. There is no documentation of any processes. There is no training. Everyone is expected to train themselves. I managed to work here for over a year without using a single one of IV's apps ONCE because there is no training on their system. I had to write my own training materials just on ZenDesk and the backend system, then I was forced to train all of the other technical support agents while working a massive amount of unpaid overtime during the beginning of the pandemic. It took six months after that of fighting to even get a meager pay raise. Also, alcohol culture was rampant. The keg refrigerator was only part of the amount of alcohol thrown at us. I swear everyone here is an alcoholic and drinks during the work day. It sucks to be around. Also, the head programmer is not only r*cist, but specifically r*cist against the clients!! He makes really horrible comments about the non-white clients IV has and no one bats an eye. This is an incredibly toxic and failing business that should have been in the ground years ago but is limping along by the grace of desperately trying to gain more clients than they lose. And that isn't working out for them. My manager didn't pay his own brother-in-law, who was a contractor technical support agent, for SIX MONTHS. He couldn't pay his own family!!! I'm not sure that man was ever paid!! Basically, if you love doing work for free and having mean, alcoholic coworkers, this is a great place for you!!! Otherwise, give it a pass.

Pros

Remote flexibility, "unlimited" PTO, some colleagues were nice people

Cons

There is zero culture. The company has no mission or values. The company does not recognize employees' contributions or tenure. The company is always in some state of "financial crisis," so don't expect to receive a raise or promotion. The CEO and sales team know nothing about technology and have no experience selling it. The platform itself is convoluted and full of bloat from years of poor business decisions. Product decisions and timelines are driven by sales, not the actual experts who were hired to make them. The codebase is poorly (not at all) maintained, The product team isn't given the time or permission to improve the codebase. There are zero QA resources. Engineers aren't given the time or permission to incorporate proper automated testing.
