Know what you’re getting into - Logistics Account Executive Integrity Express Logistics Employee Review

Pros

Relaxed dress code. If you are making money, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Show up whenever, leave whenever. Management is pretty hands off.

Cons

The office environment is full of “bros”. If you are a female, gross things will be said behind your back. The job itself is pretty stressful. It’s not uncommon to hear a broker screaming and cursing at a carrier through the phone. No real sales training other than an overview of the market. They pretty much recruit a bunch of people that are new to the industry and see what sticks. Most new employees only have a vague idea what they are getting into.

Pros

Touch technology that not a lot of companies have, and have more hands-on experience.

Cons

It’s a family-owned company, so no matter how hard you work or how strong your ideas are, there’s little room to move up unless you’re related to the CEO. (Venture) The Argument: Hiring and promoting based on "who you know" rather than "what you know" creates operational weak points.
