Pros

Company has been through a lot of change in the last several years, and they are definitely trying to continue to make things better for employees. There is a lot of opportunity for growth (exposure to new projects, different responsibilities, upward mobility), however the opportunity for development really depends on the manager and their investment in you. There are a lot of great people to work with. Because it's a smaller organization, you get more autonomy and freedom in your work to try new things and share ideas.

Cons

The grind can be tough, as with any job, but because the departments are smaller here there is always a lot on your plate. Hard to find time/energy to develop yourself when you're just focused on keeping your head above water at times. Believe the company would benefit from adding more roles at the the level in which the most work is completed, rather than creating more higher level roles. Direction is needed from management roles, but direction is pointless if you don't have enough people to do the work required.

Pros

Entrepreneurial atmosphere. Good ideas can get priority and momentum rather quickly.

Cons

They treat their people as disposable. They initially tendered an offer that I politely refused and wished them luck in their search. They adjusted their offer enough to make relocating worthwhile. A year and a half later, after implementing the big project they initially hired me for, after relocating and settling the family, they insisted on bumping me down to the initial offer - loss of title, loss of bonus compensation and drop in salary - with no warnings given. Take it or leave it - to the offer I initially refused.
