Pros

1) The IS respects their employees and always keeps employees' welfare in mind. All must-have and surplus benefits are available, and hourly payments are much higher than the other companies. Laura is a warm-hearted and generous person, she shared her cozy and lovely home with me when I first arrived in MA and helped me to receive mails for a few months. 2) Woods Hole has extraordinarily gorgeous coastal views. Its sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. 3) The colleagues are warm-hearted, generous, and considerate, and working environments are friendly enjoyable. 4) Keeping work and life balance is easy to achieve. There has an aquarium next to the working place. For those who want to surf in the summer and skiing in the winter, numerous coastal spots and Wachusett Mountain are available.

Cons

My deficiency in communications and arrogant work attitude destroyed my work, and I wish I could do better. The following benevolent suggestions is from an alien foreigner's perspective. (1) Do not be afraid of or hesitate about asking for helps if you do need it for work. Your success is your employer's success. They are on your side and they are with you. (2) There are regulations and rules that everyone obeys it. It is on your benefit to go through Dos and Don'ts and obey it. It is a precious and invaluable work opportunity, and not everyone can get it. If you are able to get the offer, "Congratulations!".

Pros

Women-led company Dedicated to science Good benefits Understanding of injury/illness

Cons

Due to NOAA's funding and availability, there was uncertainty about how long a contract would last, but this is not a fault of IS. Regular timesheet reporting Salary did not change with inflation
