Pros

Good fellow consultants when you have the chance to work with them.

Cons

In spite of their perceived culture and familial environment, there are some very uneven standards and practices that are routinely employed. Underneath that veil of authenticity is a more insular, bitter, and petty leadership. You sometimes get thrown into projects with ill defined scope, objectives, and sponsors with extremely uneven work. At many times the work is much lower level than you would expect of a professional consultant and does little to advance ones professional experience. You almost never get the chance to work together with other consultants on a client project. This makes it extremely difficult to build trust and learn from others.

Integrated Project Management Company Response

We’re pleased to hear that your fellow consultants had a positive impact on your experience with us. We work hard to balance our consultants' professional aspirations with the needs of our clients, but we understand that achieving the perfect match is not always possible. There are times when our consultants are assigned projects that challenge their leadership abilities, offering an opportunity to shine and guide organizations through complex challenges. At other times, the focus may shift to providing essential support to help clients cross the finish line. We are committed to fostering connections among our consultants through various avenues, including, our hybrid in-office requirement fostering interface with colleagues, internal teams, Culture Connection groups, Centers of Excellence, and our office, regional, and all-company meetings. These opportunities are designed to strengthen relationships and share knowledge across our team. Our strong culture is the basis for our decision-making process, and we endeavor to treat each other as we would a member of our family. While we strive for consistency within our management practices, we acknowledge there may be variations in experiences. To address this, we will enhance training opportunities in our quarterly meetings to minimize these differences and ensure a more unified approach. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us grow and continue to improve the IPM experience for everyone.
