Pros

Very laid back atmosphere with free drinks, popcorn, and casual dress. My co-workers were always very helpful, willing to answer my questions and help me get my work done. I was easily able to get along with people on my team due to similar interests.

Cons

I was brought on board to help with a specific project, but I was full-time and it was meant to be a permanent position. However, about half-way into my time there, the old CEO retired and a new CEO was brought on board. I should have considered this a warning. I was never given any formal training. I was told I would have a mentor, but the mentor assigned to me almost never knew about the areas I was assigned to work in, and I was given assignments almost immediately, so I didn't even have time to read any documentation, leading to frequent questions to my co-workers to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Their tech stack is outdated and hideous, and most software engineers there didn't seem to know much beyond the proprietary drag-and-drop interface that they use.

Pros

Relaxed work and friendly coworkers

Cons

Low pay. No clear path for advancement. Leadership is inconsistent. Over committed to validating their huge investment in AI. CEO feels aloof and entirely disconnected from every other employee.
