Pros

Nothing positive to say about the company. Toxic culture. Late night emails from leadership with the expectation to be on top of items within. Please think twice before joining.

Cons

Absolutely atrocious place to work. Terrible leadership with extremely short sighted decisions being made. This ship is sinking.

Instep UK Response

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. And I'm really sorry that your experience at Instep wasn't a positive one - a toxic culture definitely isn't what we're striving for. You're definitely right in that some (not all!) of the team work late - we're trying to create a really flexible working environment where people can do what's right for them. Several of the team (me included!) have young children, so we need a bit more flex during standard working hours sometimes and then happily catch-up later as that suits us better. We definitely don't expect responses from people out of hours though - so thank you, we'll make that clearer so that others don't feel under pressure as that's definitely not our intention. I'd welcome the chance to hear more about your feedback on our decision-making? More detail would be really helpful. Please drop me an email at acrawford@instepuk.com if you're happy to talk, Amy

Pros

Left to own devices. Efficient I.T kit supplied quickly. E-Learning for learners is mostly good. Expensive 1.5 day twice-yearly hotel get-togethers. Lots of experienced professionals scattered across the company.

Cons

Very isolated working, most staff were very heavily isolated staff and it felt like this was intentional. Cliquey middle management put friendships ahead of efficiency. Senior staff are playing catch-up to the industry. E-Learning team create good resources but not ground breaking. Behind the curve for educational delivery & development. Top-down communication with little staff consultation. Twice a year events were superficial, full of top-down communication, cheesy 'team building' activities, and evenings were mostly booze-led (with some tacky SMT hen-party vibes).
