Cons
When hired, I was offered equity as a huge part of my total rewards. The company I worked for, owned by insight partners, was recently sold for billions and the equity payment process was completely obscure and dishonest, ending up paying peanuts to equity "holders". Do not accept or count on equity as part of your total rewards if this company offers you a job.
