InsideOut Networking

Is this your company?

They are openly willing to pay the least amount possible, using non-compete contracts to lock employees in. - Shop Manager InsideOut Networking Employee Review

Pros

It can emulate a paid internship which beats not being paid at all, although the salary hardly competes with a crew member position at McDonald's.

Cons

I felt taken advantage of, "working my way up" to a salary lower than what was originally determined at the beginning of my two years of service.

This employee was not our shop manager and was actually hired in as an intern. He had absolutely no professional IT experience coming in and came from working at Panera Bread. All of this was fine with us because he had a love of technology and demonstrated a positive attitude. He was very rough around the edges when it came to client interaction, but we trained and coached him and he was steadily improving. During this time, he was reviewed regularly and paid an increasing amount based on his skill level and experience. After only working with us for a couple years, he ended up just getting mad that he couldn't make more money faster without continuing to earn a higher skill level. He became bitter and self righteous about it - demanding more salary than was reasonable. He ended up quitting to find another path. A note about how we pay: we use payscale.com and other market research engines to keep our pay in the top 75th percentile.

Pros

Excellent, fast paced work environment that keeps you busy and engaged. Always an opportunity to learn new things, expand your knowledge and feel rewarded doing so. Management, staff, guiding principals, and core values are all positive and empowering to employees. Lots of growth potential and the ability to have a voice in how the company works and how the company will grow.

Cons

The fast paced work environment will keep you busy all day but that is broken up by breaks and company outings which make it fun. If you want to dedicate yourself and like staying busy, this isn't really a "con" because the continual work makes the day go by fast and helps build your multitasking, communication, problem solving, and technological skills quickly. Dedicate yourself and there are endless possibilities at this company.
