Pros

The people at the facility in Eugene were some of the finest I have ever worked with. They were professional, kind and fun! It felt like a family. I really enjoyed working there. When I first started working there the work was challenging, interesting and constantly evolving. Unfortunately that changed.

Cons

The company in Eugene, Oregon was originally named Feeney Wireless. It was purchased by Novatel Wireless. At first this seemed like a positive move but it later proved to be anything but good. Novatel (later renamed Inseego) already had a track record of making poor financial choices. They started round after round of layoffs often getting rid of key people which made it difficult to continue to achieve corporate goals. Multiple times we were told that the layoffs were over only to have more soon after. This created a toxic and depressive environment. To be fair there were many layoffs in San Diego as well. Although middle management appeared to have a firm grasp of what needed to be done to bring the company to profitability, much of upper management did not appear to listen to anyone. Poor choices continued. The decision was made to outsource the Production Facility to a company in Texas in a move to save money although upper management continued to have huge salaries. This ultimately lead to a loss of many local jobs and a much smaller Eugene branch. This is a classic case of poor leadership, vision and execution. The upper management was changed again just before I left. I do not know if the working environment has changed. If you are interested in working there make sure things have gotten better.
