Pros

The coordinators and associates across the company were the best part of IG. Making long workweeks and the insane schedule fun. The fully flexible wfh policy and opportunity to travel.

Cons

The ‘Dollar Tree’ of association management companies. Where most association management companies are led by the communities team listening and learning from the engaging members, this AMC created one successful strategy 10 years ago and refuses to evolve with the times, taking on more clients that live in the same mindset of “if it worked once it should always work” or “it was so much easier in my day”. Expressing burnout to upper management is met with “I understand but we aren’t hiring more team members” or to vendors on a call “we are a typical AMC, we have a high turnover because we burn and churn and we have others in the queue” Whether it be a problem or a formal complaint with a managing partner, know that they are not going anywhere. They can do or say whatever they please, whether that be completely inappropriate or unprofessional they are not held accountable nor is the issue addressed. The pay is extremely low for livable wages in Chicago, Nashville, and DC. Most management is paid at 6 figures while coordinators and associates of all levels are paid an average of $52k. During negotiations for base pay, instead of providing reasons for pay whether it be experience or season of hiring, “HR” lies about levels and what they are willing to pay, sayings things like “you’ll never find anyone making XYZ at that title” ... when they are more than willing to likely pay that, if not more to males over females. The onboarding and training process is an absolute mess. Most of the managers at the company as of May 2022, do not properly train new employees because they are either A) completely underwater with work or B) completely incompetent and have been promoted with no knowledge of how to do the actual job. While the staff hired across most teams is truly incredible, they are quickly burnt out with unrealistic workloads and expectations to work 24/7. “If you receive a message, you need to respond, it doesn’t matter the time or day”. Due to those expectations, gossip, politics and upper management turnover is constantly happening. Instead of discussing why people are leaving and addressing the issues, they insist people are randomly getting offers left and right.

Thank you for sharing your insights and we appreciate your acknowledgement of our amazing team members. However, we're disheartened to hear about your concerns regarding our approach to our work, employee burnout, compensation, and training processes. Creating a supportive and inclusive work environment is a top priority for us, and we take your feedback seriously. Your advice to management helps us to address these issues and foster a culture of open communication, accountability, and support for all our employees (we now have a new HR Department and are also currently revamping our onboarding processes). Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We will continue to leverage feedback to implement meaningful change within our organization.

Pros

There leadership is very accessible and incredibly focused on their values. I left for an opportunity better suited- but Innovatis was an amazing place to work. I highly doubt they “pay” to delete reviews- and I loved that if there were people that were negative or detractors they would let them go. It’s obvious to me that many of the negative comments are people trying to drag the company down. Literally everyone has the CEOs cell phone- I never used it- but people said he always replies immediately. He is a great guy- no work life balance- but doesn’t require others to do that. I actually have seen him restocking the fridge!

Cons

They sometimes worry too much about complaints- some you can’t make ppl happy

Thank you for the thoughtful review and for the many years you spent with Innovatis Group. We’re incredibly grateful for the impact you made and appreciate your recognition of our leadership accessibility and commitment to our values. We’re proud of the culture we’ve built! One where yes, everyone has the CEO’s cell phone… and yes, you might even catch him restocking the fridge (or raiding the snacks!). That accessibility and roll-up-your-sleeves mindset is something we care deeply about. Wishing you continued success in your next chapter!

Pros

Flexible time off and decent salary

Cons

top heavy leadership and a lot of teammates who just move their mouse and aren't held accountable, but attempt to hold others accountable. They don't appear to prioritize client success, instead prioritizing the path of least resistance and stirring up drama between board members to deflect and buy time. Marketing and events team are overstaffed and have poor quality work whereas other teams are stretched thin.
