      Pros

      Flexible hours if you having understanding management. Easy transferring to other job openings.

      Cons

      You have to lay down the law and guidelines for your hiring, otherwise they will ride you for as long as they possibly can. The pay is pretty horrid for the amount of work. Typical hourly job expectations and restrictions.

      -Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

      Cons

      -You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
