Pros

Hour long breaks, not much else...

Cons

No room for advancement, managers work you over 40 hours and get mad you have OT, people who do NOT do their job tend to get promoted, favoritism is beyond ridiculous, in both the deli and bakery the oven mitts are rarely replaced and often times employees get burnt, when something is broken or messed up management thinks you're lying and won't address the problem unless confronted in company of higher ups, employees get thrown into something without training and then get reprimanded for not knowing the right way to do stuff, management is hired in with no experience therefore creating more chaos, food is dropped in the floor and put on shelves regardless, expired products used in departments, people rarely use gloves, cashiers have to run registers and clean bathrooms because there are no maintenance people, bathrooms always disgusting, I could go on

Pros

-Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

Cons

-You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
