Pros
Flexible hours, good pay, interesting work, laid back, small office, very smart people. Senior management cares about the development of the individual employees.
Cons
Company treats employees as temps -- they hire people for projects, then when the funding runs out/they don't get the next round of funding, they lay them off. Happened more than once.
