Cons

I cannot recommend ISMG under any circumstances. Leadership completely disrespectful, controlling, and disconnected from reality. There is no real management structure, all decisions, big or small, are dictated by the CEO, Managers have no authority, and even simple tasks require approval from the top. The culture is full of blabbering and busywork, with no focus on quality or results. Brown-nosing employees are rewarded, while anyone who questions or does real work gets ignored or undermined. Once someone leaves, even on good terms, leadership openly badmouths them. The CEO actively snitch on employees and control day-to-day interactions, making the environment toxic and suffocating. If you value professionalism, respect, or actual teamwork, stay far away from ISMG.

The company gave me the chance to improve my communication and project management skills while working in a growing industry. Team members were supportive and management appreciated employees who were dependable and motivated.

Cons

Occasional workload spikes during campaigns.

Pros

I had an okay manager and VP compared to the others in the org, but my leader was extremely micromanaging. No senior leader or leader is brave enough to tell the CEO and general manager that the way they speak to and about people is wrong and problematic, as someone who’s heard them make comments about other employees.

Cons

There is zero company culture or appreciation for the employees, which directly ties to their retention. I’ve never worked at a company like this that micromanages everything and has so little trust in there employees, and it’s a trickle affect down from senior leadership, which is the main reason I had to get out of the environment. They also tend to promote high performers thinking they’ll be able to lead teams which most of the time is not the case, which is probably why there’s so much poor leadership, training, onboarding, and direction. Working here took a large toll on my physical and mental health, and after some time you start to think it’s normal. I’m here to tell you it is not and a job at ISMG is not worth your health. Also they tend to pick and choose who they will let work a notice, which I learned the hard way when I gave notice and they wouldn’t let me work mine, as my manager said “we don’t really do notices” when I personally watched multiple people give them and work them out. With that said, if you leave do not give a notice, it’s not worth losing your health insurance for a month and losing weeks worth of pay. Also, I’ve heard internally the positive reviews are written by a senior leader (not sure if this is 100% true) but I would take the positive ones with a grain of salt, as most people I’ve talked to that work and have worked there did not have a positive experience
