Pros
I believe employee welfare would be much better if the management dropped their draconian fascination with onsite work. Low wages mean we get to spend nearly one-third of our salaries on commuting. In a city notorious for its traffic jams and bad air quality, that's pretty awful since it's stressful and the commute period falls under unpaid time. The only reason young pros endure this is because it's the place to learn and improve. Else, they wouldn't tolerate it. I mean, who wants to give away 40 hours of their prime awake time when they can barely survive on wages? It seems unfair to me, especially considering the company's clients (wealthy financial institutions) and status (Microsoft partner company). The company should and could be a lot better in terms of employee welfare.
