Pros

If you want to work in entertainment PR, this is a great internship opportunity. You will work directly with the owners of the company, who have amazing experience in several different areas of publicity, including talent and film. If you have an interest in independent films and film festivals, you will learn a lot and have opportunities to attend festivals and work on films premiering at Sundance, SXSW, Santa Barbara and more. I personally had the opportunity to travel to various festivals, work with talent, and gained invaluable experience in PR. It's not the type of internship where you answer phones and grab coffees - you will learn everything you need to move on to a job in entertainment PR. After my 3 month internship I was able to work on a freelance basis for almost 6 months, and used Linda's connections to land a full time job. I found that they took the time to get to know me and help me improve in the areas I needed to, which led to finding the right job for me.

Cons

I have no cons about this internship - I would not have the experience that I brought to my new job without it.

Pros

Honestly, I am struggling to find something positive to say about this company but I will try.... There are some opportunities to work at film festivals and travel, but the experience of having to work with the company boss is so awful that it really cancels out any opportunity to have a good experience.

Cons

I worked at this company on and off for about a year and half doing freelance film publicity. During this time I saw about 25 interns come and go, often after being verbally abused and bullied by the companies president, Linda Brown. This company exploits the unpaid work of interns and basically uses them as free labor. All the while they are constantly bullied. Many of the interns lasted only a few weeks. Some just a few days. I myself have vowed never to work for this company again. It's a toxic work environment.
