Pros
- decent salary if you live outside of a HCOL area - remote work for individual contributors - good colleagues, if they were not yet laid off (but they will be, eventually) - if you are lucky and can create it for yourself, you can achieve a nice work/life balance
Cons
- layoff after layoff after layoff after... - overwhelming micromanagement from the C level - toxic mid level managers - if you don't play the political game, you won't progress, but will be laid off instead, no matter your output - putting all the eggs in the AI basket, with no backup plan
