Pros

It has insurance, and the building has places you can secretly cry.

Cons

If negative stars were an option, that’s exactly what I’d give. One star is simply the lowest the platform allows. Working at Indeed Flex has been, in my experience, a case study in how quickly things can go wrong when unqualified people stumble into leadership and mistake luck for capability. This company should truly serve as a warning to anyone evaluating potential employers. Before you put stock in the glowing reviews, especially the ones claiming they “can’t think of any cons,” ask yourself how realistic that sounds. Once you join, you’ll likely find yourself in one of two categories: part of the revolving-door turnover problem or part of the next redundancy. There isn’t much in between. From my perspective, the culture is rotten at its core. Any attempt at “improvement” feels surface-level and performative. Employees are regularly coached to look happier, smile more, be more social or avoid telling new starters what it’s really like. When the culture requires everyone to pretend things are fine, that’s usually a sign they aren’t. The workload is unreasonable, and job responsibilities shift constantly without clarity or support. Leadership is disorganised and consistently redirects blame for their own decisions onto the people with the least power. Pay is low, career paths are unclear or nonexistent and progression seems limited to a very select group. In my experience, the people who get ahead are the ones who flatter leadership rather than the ones who do the real work. Meanwhile, the most capable employees leave, and leadership seems baffled each time it happens rather than looking inward and considering why. If you’re considering working here, my sincere advice is: don’t. There are better places to grow, be supported and be treated with respect.

Pros

Working at Indeed Flex was a time I would never give back. I got the chance to work alongside some of the brightest and most driven people in the business. When I started, we had a lot of autonomy and trust in how our team could make a different and to try new things. I also had the room to grow within my career and promise of more opportunities down the line.

Cons

After my first two years, the company quickly shifted. Working at Flex in it's current culture is a competitive burnout factory where if you are not working yourself to the bone, you are not appreciated by upper management or respected. Be prepared to have your work unfairly scrutinized by people who do not understand your role, and to have any mistake you make immediately used against you. Flex was once a place of true open-mindedness and is now a place where the nastier you are, the more you are rewarded. Also, senior management will change company goals and restructure teams at least twice a year if and when goals aren't met. Which lead to constant confusion and rework.
