Pros
At every company I worked at before Increff, QA was an afterthought — the team that slowed things down, the bottleneck before releases. Here it's entirely different. Engineering leadership genuinely believes that quality is a competitive advantage, and that belief shows up in how the QA team is resourced, how our concerns are heard in planning, and how test coverage is treated as non-negotiable rather than optional. Working in an environment where your function is respected changes everything about how you show up to work. The automation work here is substantive — we're running comprehensive regression suites against a complex distributed WMS, and the tooling is modern and well-maintained. My colleagues are sharp, the culture of continuous improvement is real, and I've learned more about test architecture in two years here than I had in four years elsewhere. Compensation is fair, reviews are transparent, and the team is one I look forward to seeing every day.
Cons
Some older parts of the test suite need modernisation — the team is actively working through it.
