Pros
Everything that made the Income Store incredible was directly attributable to the leads and direct manager for the independent contractors. They fostered an open and friendly work environment that encouraged skill development and writer growth. I cannot say enough good things about the immediate group I worked with. The fully remote work environment was a definite plus as was the flexible scheduling.
Cons
The pay per word rate was far below acceptable, regardless of geographical are the writers were from. The only thing that kept me working with the Income Store was the group I was working directly with, as I did enjoy their online presence. The concept behind the Income Store is not unique but the quality of the websites produced was mediocre. The writing was great; design and layout was often good as well. However, with lack of support for the ghost written content, it seemed implausible that these sites could generate the income that they purportedly did. There were no genuine comments or interactions that would even begin to hint that these websites generated traffic, organic or otherwise, at all. Lack of communication with independent contractors was also a problem. When working on projects outside of the SEO group, communication was spotty. In some instances, it took me days, if not weeks, to get an answer for a simple question, despite regular follow ups and advising that my work would be delayed due to lack of clarification.
